Nano Brows vs. Microblading

Nano brows vs. Microblading?

Both popular techniques used in the field of permanent makeup to enhance and shape the eyebrows.

While they have similarities, here are the key differences between the two methods:

  • Technique: Microblading involves using a handheld tool with a row of tiny needles to create fine, hair-like strokes by manually implanting pigment into the superficial layers of the skin. On the other hand, nano brows utilize a digital pen device with a nano needle cartridge, which is a significantly smaller needle than those used in microblading. The nano needle penetrates the skin more superficially, resulting in even finer and more precise strokes.
  • Stroke Appearance: Microblading strokes tend to have a bolder and slightly more textured appearance, resembling natural eyebrow hairs. The strokes created by the nano needle in nano brows are even thinner and can appear more refined and realistic, closely mimicking the look of natural eyebrow hairs.
  • Precision: Due to the smaller size of the nano needle used in nano brows, this technique offers greater precision. The fine strokes created with the nano needle can be more precise in shape, definition, and placement, allowing for a highly customized and detailed result.
  • Skin Type and Retention: Microblading is generally suitable for healthy thick skin types, including normal and dry. Nano brows, with their superficial needle penetration, are particularly suitable for sensitive or thin skin, as well as oily or mature skin, where pigment retention may be more challenging.
  • Pain and Discomfort: Both techniques involve some level of discomfort, but the pain experienced during the procedure can vary from person to person. Nano brows, with their lighter and more superficial strokes, may be less uncomfortable for individuals with lower pain tolerance.
  • Healing and Results: The healing process and final results are similar for both techniques. It is important to follow proper aftercare instructions provided by the technician to ensure proper healing and pigment retention. The final outcome depends on factors such as skin type, aftercare, and the expertise of the technician.

Ultimately, the choice between nano brows and microblading depends on individual preferences, skin type, and the desired outcome. It's essential to consult with a skilled and experienced permanent makeup artist who can assess your specific needs and help you choose the technique that will best achieve your desired eyebrow enhancement.
